Comments about Castrol ATF +4 Automatic Transmission Fluid:
I try to perform my own car repair if i can and finally decided to change the trans fluid on my 2005 caravan v6 and i was hesitant to do it but doing the flush on my 1998 lexus and after searching i found that castrol is my brand after changing the filter and the 3 to 4 quarts. I noticed no negative my trans stated to shift better than ever after that i decided to detatch the coolant lines and go for a full flush. MAN WAS i in for a verry good surprise. After filling flushing all the black/metalic fluid i stated up the car and shifted throught all the gears on bu one in PRNDL3 and drove on each gear for about a block each and filled it up.
OH MY GOD MY TRANSMISSION SHIFTS LIKE MY NEW 2012 honda odyssey.
from grave to gold i recommend castrol over mobile1

I have a 2004 jeep liberty and need to know the total fluid capacity of transmission. I have a 13 bolt pan but do not know the exact name of transmission. Engine is 3.7 v6 vin 1J4GL48K24W225150. Also would a total flush be adviseable since it has regular conventional fluid installed before. I change every 40,000 miles so this will be third change. My mechanic reccomends synthetic since when below Zero degrees it shifts slugglish since brand new.1 answer

Do you turn off or on the motor to check the oil transmission?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
With reference to your inquiry on the Castrol ATF +4 Automatic Transmission Fluid - part# 06810, to check your automatic transmission fluid, look for a dipstick handle sticking out of your transmission. This is located toward the rear of an in-line engine on vehicles with rear-wheel drive. If your vehicle has front-wheel drive, the transmission fluid dipstick is sticking out of the transaxle. With the gearshift in Neutral or Park and the parking brake on, let your engine run. Be sure the engine is warm when you pull out the dipstick.
