Comments about Bosch Distance Plus High-Performance Oil Filter:

I have used this filter in numerous applications and have always found the product to be reliable. This is the ONLY filter with any significant capacity improvements and is the ideal choice for use with extended performance synthetic oils with longer drain intervals.

Purolator gold is a great filter for the price if you are going with conventional oil which needs to be changed more frequently, but if you plan on testing the 15,000 claims made by synthetic products, this is the only choice out there.

      Bosch Distance Plus Oil Filter

Comments about Bosch Distance Plus High-Performance Oil Filter:

This is in response to the poor review from The Master. That would be a great scam if Bosch was taking the cheap filters, painting them a different color, and selling them for a higher price as premium filters. They are made by the same company, Champion Labs, as the cheap filters. But, the premium filters are better. They have more and better filter media than the cheap filters. Still don't believe me? Just pick up a cheap filter and a premium filter and compare the weight. They aren't the same.

Comments about Bosch Distance Plus High-Performance Oil Filter:

This filter is made by Champion Labs. They make the oil filters for AC Delco, Deutsch, Champ, STP, K&N, Mobil 1, and a few other less known brands. The filters are all the same, just a different paint job, label and name. It's an average to below average filter. You can spend less money and get a much better filter using Purolator, Wix, Baldwin/Hastings. Purolator Pureone has the best quality rating of any filter.

No it does not improve oil pressure.

          • A:

No, it does not improve oil pressure. If the oil pressure is low, it indicates a mechanical problem in the engine, ie worn bearings or weak oil pump. There are no simple, miracle fixes. Using a heavier weight oil will increase oil pressure but, the volume of oil being circulated will decrease and possibly destroy the bearings from oil starvation.
