      A:

With reference to the BWD Distributor Pickup Assembly (Part No. ME48P), the metal plate is pressed onto the distributor shaft. To replace the pickup coil you need to remove the distributor. Drive the roll pin out that holds the gear on the shaft. (the dimple on the gear should be on the same side of the shaft as the rotor tip). When you pull the shaft out of the distributor it is the round part held on to the distributor with a small ring or a clip. It has 2 wires that plug into the ignition module. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto store and one of our representatives will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
