You would need a shutoff type plug. Unfortunately I do not see a part available for your application. I request you to check with the nearest Advance Auto store and our representative would be glad to assist you in this regard. For any further assistance please feel free to call 1-877-238-2623 and one of our representatives will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

I have a 1989 Lincoln Towncar, with 106,567 miles, and it failed for Emissions test, "hydro carbon" too high, I replaced 65% of the vacuum hoses so far, replaced the EGR Valve & Solinoid, and still failed for hydro carbons, will the Vapor Canister help reduce the emissions / hydro carbons???

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

                  • Q:

THE TWO OPENINGS, OR OUTLETS, ON THE TOP OF THE CANISTER, THAT ARE ABOUT 3/4'S OF AN INCH IN DIAMETER. IS THE NEW CANISTER SUPPLIED WITH PLUGS, OR CAPS, THAT FIT OVER THESE TWO OPENINGS? MY OEM CANISTER HAS LIDS THAT SLIP OVER THESE TWO OUTLETS AND I DON'T WANT TO ASSUME THAT MY ORIGINAL CAPS WILL FIT ONTO THE NEW CANISTER? THEREFORE, IS THIS CANISTER SUPPLIED WITH CAPS TO FIT OVER THE TWO OUTLETS?
