Well, since I had gotten my 2001 Ford Ranger 4.0L back in 06 my truck has had the dimmest of lights and have been needing to get some brighter ones, and now after having installed them myself, it made a world of difference. I took out my old bulbs/lamps and one was from factory built in 2000 and the other was replaced in 2006, so that could be why it was so dim. But it looked like the ones that were installed previous, was Sylvania extravision. If anyone is planning to by the extravision, pay just a little more and a better light, I love mine and can see sooo much further now! Great bulb/lamp, would highly recommend.

A little difficult to install on 97 Caravan. I don't do road trips often enough to get the best usage of these bulbs, so they are not worth the extra money for the shorter life-span. Would blow one every 6 months or so, and got tired of the extra cost to replace them all the time. Still, a great white light for the money. Suggestion: try using these for road trips and swap regular halogens for commuting in town. Handle with care though, and don't touch the glass.

Comments about Sylvania SilverStar TWIN Halogen Headlight:
I replaced my 16 year old factory bulbs. Performance did improve, but not as much as expected. I think the value of these bulbs is relevant to the amount of night driving you do, your night vision and the conditions. I'm 54 and don't do a lot of night driving; I wouldn't purchase these again.

Nice bright, white light. Extended range as advertised. Bulbs seemed to fail early in my 2001 F-150. I just put a set in a 2002 F-150 to see how long they will last. Hopefully it will be at least 2 years.

Much brighter than the OEM bulbs in my Ram 2500. Whiter light that provides great clarity. So far good, but rated life is very short, my OEM bulbs lasted 8 years, and these are rated at 1.

I instaled These in my wife's 2009 HHR. They were hard to install, But it is the car not the Bulbs. I was inpressed with the amount of light these bulbs produce. They really light up the sides of the road, and are really good for spoting deer.

The lamps are being used in my wifes vehicle as I would not let her drive at night with only one headlight. Always replace in pairs.

provides nice crisp light for night time driving that makes the oem lighting look horrible. if you don't want to shell out big bucks for hd lighting, these are for you!
