Comments about Brute Force Universal Joint:

This Universal joint does not fit a 1989 F-150 xlt Lariat 4WD. The caps are to large to fit the forward side yoke. I made three trips to Advance Auto, finally matching with a Universal Joint for a 1982 by their book. I highly recommend you take the old Joints with you when purchasing new ones and save yourself time and gas money and turning a simple job into an all day project. The rear side Joint was an exact match by the book and computer... go figure. All shafts and yokes are the original factory on this truck..

Comments about Brute Force Universal Joint:

Very strong and heavy duty U joints. No grease fittings because they are heavy duty and a grease fitting hole would make them weaker.

Comments about Brute Force Universal Joint:

I was a little skeptical of the brand before i purchased them. i had a broken u-joint on the front drive shaft of my 1998 Ford Expedition that resulted in a a clank noise and terrible vibrations while driving. Dropped the front drive shaft and changed both u-joints (highly recommend changing all the u-joints on your drive shaft front or rear while you have it off). Bolted front drive shaft back on, took truck for a spin and smooth ride was back and no more clanking. So far these Brute Force U-joints have been holding up!

because you do not have the proper tool. the u-joints are incredibly easy to replace when you have the proper tool to press them out of the yoke.
