Another great filter from K&N. The weld nut on the end of the housing is great for loosening in hard to reach places. It makes the change out on a 1997-2003 series 5.4l F-150 4x4 much easier.

Best and easiest filter to use on my 2006 F-150. Filter holds up after 15K miles using Royal Purple 5w20. It's great not having to screw around getting the filter off because of the extremely tight space it's in (5.4L), grab a wrench, put it on the bolt and take it off.

I normally go between 10K miles before an oil change. Every time I have an oil change I always have an inspection of the oil. Perfect!

The oil filter is one of the most important parts of you engine. The removal of harmful particular contaminants from your engine oil prevents excessive engine wear. This filter is rated in the 99% efficiency range while still maintaining unrestricted high oil flow.
Oil filters by K & N incorporate only the best technologies in their products. These include higher quality components such as heavier base tap plate, canister, and by-pass valve. The high-flow filter media is rated at 99% efficiency. This filter is one of the few that incorporates a 1 inch drive nut on the filter. This is very helpful in both installation and removal in locations that have tight clearance.

The K&N Oil Filter - Part No. HP-2010 is compatible to use with any high-end synthetic motor oil. Synthetic motor oil is said to offer improved flow performance at cold temperatures while providing superior protection against thermal degradation. To clean the oil filter you would need a K&N Air Filter Oil - 12.25oz - Aerosol - Part No. 99-0516. Just apply K&N Air Filter Oil evenly along the crown of each pleat. Allow oil to wick for approximately 20 minutes. Touch up any light areas on either side of filter until there is a uniform red color at all areas.
