My Previous battery has been installed in my corolla since Apr 2001 and still works fine. However, the open voltage with fully charged is less than 12.4V. I just replace it with this new battery before the cold winter comes and use the old only as a backup battery for my sump pump.

This was not a top of the line battery and had I been paying attention or was in a position to return the battery I would have done so. I will be sure to check competitive prices. For the longest time, Advance was hands down the least expensive/highest quality parts but as of late I have noticed that Advance is approaching the point where they are no longer players. You need to provide quality parts at competitive prices if you would like to keep my business.

The battery fit, was acceptable. As for the value, thought it was over priced. I wish I would have taken the time to shop the product. This was not a top of the line battery and had I been paying attention or was in a position to return the battery I would have done so. I will be sure to check competitive prices. For the longest time, Advance was hands down the least expensive/highest quality parts but as of late I have noticed that Advance is approaching the point where they are no longer players. This battery is about 1/4" taller than the original, and while that might seem insignificant, it created a problem getting it installed in the original position in my 2006 Outback.

This AutoCraft Silver Battery, Group Size 35, 500 CCA - part# 35-1 has 6 year warranty and 2 year free replacement. Free Replacement Period begins the day of purchase and expires at the end of the Free Replacement Period printed on your original sales receipt. This period does not renew when the battery is replaced during the Free Replacement Period. If the battery becomes defective after the Free Replacement Period and prior to the end of the warranty period, the warranty benefit will be prorated and can either be credited toward the purchase of a new battery or refunded at our option. The proration amount shall be determined by dividing the purchase price by the number of months of the warranty period, then multiplying the result by the months remaining in the warranty period. Partial months are rounded to the nearest whole month. Installation of an automotive battery in any other type of vehicle or equipment voids your warranty. The AutoCraft battery brand name is owned by Advance Auto Parts (AAP), but AAP does not manufacture batteries. There is no large plant somewhere owned by AAP making them. The plants exist but are more localized and smaller manufacturers using their company name who contribute to the demand created by the AAP retail locations. All of these suppliers warranty their battery products to AAP, who then warranty them to their customers. Sealed and maintenance-free don't always mean the same. All modern wet-cell batteries for autos/trucks are maintenance free now. Due to extreme temperature conditions and charge/discharge rates, most auto/truck batteries need a vent, cap or relief for safety and to maintain an intact case... Sealed units are utilized when installed in the passenger compartment (such as under the seats, Miatas and Auroras) for passenger safety and to prevent gas release.
