Glued on paper endcaps do not always hold their seal. The ONLY filter Dodge warned against using in the Cummins TD engine - until Fram threaterned a lawsuit. For 3K OCI The old AA red filter was a better filter at 2/3 the cost. The best inexpensive filter AA carries now is the Purilator, maker of the old AA red. The only good Fram is an Extended Drain which AA does not carry. For a few $$$ more you can buy a [...], a much better investment.

Fram has always made fine filters. I love the textured easy grip top of this filter. Why hasn't anybody thought of this before? Makes installing and un-installing easy even when your hands are oily.

Sometimes I don't have the time to change the oil on time, and this filter kept working way past its time. It helps keep 95% or more durt out of the oil an keeps it flowing. I tell all my friends to use this filter,when I change there oil.
