i just bought an 89 ford bronco and it seems the that the fuel pump died. could not having a gas cap cause something to happen to it?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The fuel system in your car is a sealed system that traps harmful gas fumes. If the gas cap is left off then gas is able to escape from the system. When this happens, a self-test of the performance system detects this “leak” in the EVAP (Evaporative Emissions System) and the check engine light comes on, and a code is stored. The problem with the fuel pump may be due to relay, strainer, and pump filter or even with MAP sensor. I would suggest you to have a proper diagnosis with a certified mechanic.Q:
What is the direction of flow for this pump, in through plastic thread, out by electrical connectors?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
This pump only flows one way.Q:

What is the best way to relieve the pressure before removing old in rail high pressure pump.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Ways to relieve pressure are taking off the gas cap, another is removing the fuel pump relay, starting the engine. It should run and then die. Once the vehicle dies, the pressure should be removed.
