I have been a battery specialist for 15 years. I make battery buying decisions based on the manufacturer, not necessarily who markets the battery. Advance Auto is supplied by Johnson Controls with their automotive and LT batteries. Johnson Controls (JCI) makes the highest quality batteries, period. The last one I replaced lasted 10 years, 6 months. They are reliable and durable. A JCI battery will typically go its full warranty period or longer. Other manufacturers will rarely do this. In addition, JCI batteries don't gas as much as others. Gassing is what causes the corrosion found on battery terminals and hold downs, sometimes causing major damage that's difficult and costly to repair properly. When buying a battery, insist on a JCI manufactured battery. It probably won't say Johnson Controls anywhere on the battery, so just ask. I won't run anything else.

The battery seems like a decent battery, I've only logged 380 miles so far.
It was suppose to be a cheaper replacement to my Premium MotorCraft battery. But even the lower grade batteries today run close to $100. What happend to the $50 "good enough" batteries to compete with the $100 premium batteries?? All said and done it was a $6 diff. between the lower grade and premium.

This battery fit perfectly in my car, and was already charged and ready to go. The staff member helping me was very attentive. He took the time to clean off any old corrosion from the battery terminals and from under the battery in the tray. He was very thorough and plugged in an electronics saver to keep all my radio presets and prevent any alarm difficulties.

The product was a direct fit repleacement to the OEM. Easy to install and relatively inexpensive. The enhancement to the vehicle performance was noticable immediately. My daughters 2008 Ford Escape..XLT was having issues with battery retaining a charge. It was the original and needed replacement. The store tech cam eou tand installed it in less than 5 minutes. He cleaned all the terminals and even put on some anti-corrosion spray. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It was a pleasent experience for my wife and I.
