The discounts at AA make this mercon V a smokin deal. I've used the big name high dollar ATF and found zero difference between the two for my passenger vehicles.

Iusually use castrol ,but thought I would try this,I hope it performs the same. Idrained my trans., poured in some Sea Foam trans tune,drove a little while, drained the trans ,again ,and poured in the Advance MerconV .

My 2001 Sport Trac says to use "Mercon V" right on the tranny dip stick handle. Make sure you use "Mercon V" if that is what your car calls for. Don't use "Mercon I or II or III" also don't use "Mercon L or M". Only use if the bottle says "Mercon V" on it, if that is what you need.

This is what my windstar calls for in the trans and the advance product delivers at a good price. I also put some in the power steering and it helped quiet it down. Would recommend.

It is installed in the transmission.Answered on 6/15/2011 by Just Ask Jacob! from AAPA:
There is No traditional dipstick. It has to be pumped into the Trans from below; and you need a special fitting to do so. And you will need a pump. Only attempt to do it yourself if you are a Real "Hands on" person. I found the fitting on Ebay if you so choose. God Speed!
