i put this filter on my 2002 sebring limited. it was a perfect fit to the OEM filter. i dropped the pan, cleaned out the pan and magnet, and cleared off any remenants of the seal. i put on the new gasket and o-ring (also in the kit). i put it all back together with 4.5 qts of castrol atf +4. easy job overall.

Like one of the other reviewers, I could not get the seal to stop leaking. I checked the flatness of the pan with a straight edge and found that the pan has fairly large voids between each of the bolt holes. The gasket is not thick or pliable enough to vill the voids. I ended up using rtv to form a gasket. RTV is used by the OEM, and is listed as an alternative in the instructions that come with the filter kit. By the way I bought two of these kits trying to get a gasket that worked, neither did. You are better off buying just the filter, and saving a couple of dollars on the gasket.

Filter easy to install. Gasket was good, I used it on a pan that also had a gasket on it before, so no rtv/sealant was on it. quick easy job, I tightened to 165 inch/lbs, seemed to do the trick. Just make sure u clean the bolts and check the torque specs on your vehicle.

I was doing maintenance on my transmission and replaced the transmission filter and gasket. It's a messy job to begin with, but the fact that the filter went in hard made it worse. The gasket was easy to install and there were no leaks.

Q:
Do I need to use any silicone adhersive using this gasket kit?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Use few drops of any adhesive and run a bead around the mating surface of the pan going completely around the bolt holes. Carefully lay the gasket on the pan and press it into the adhesive. Lift one corner at a time and let some of the solvent evaporate and stick it back on. When it is on good, turn it over and place it on a flat surface to set.Q:
How do I know if my transmission is a 3spd, or a 4spd ?6 answers

The easiest way to find out is to call your dealer, provide them with your VIN number and they will be able to tell you as long as you or a previous owner hasn't changed out anything.A:
For Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth/Jeep products; On the vehicle, under the hood, above the radiator on the supporting crossmember there is a builder's plate with raised metal lettering. On this plate there are three lines of letters and numbers. On the lowest line, the first 3 characters are the transaxle type code. DGB=4 speed automatic transaxle DGL=4 speed electronic automatic transaxle DGM=3 speed automatic transaxle DDR = T850 5-Speed Manual Transaxle I don't have a completre list. If your transaxle code is not one of these, try google or ask your dealer. It also helps to simply note the shape and the number of screws that hold the transmission pan in place. NB: There is no dealer part for the gasket they use a 1/8" bead of black RTV silicone that is specifically AT fluid resistant and has a limited (1 year) shelf life.A:

Hey bro, you can ask the any dealership, give them the make and model and cylinder of your engine, or any auto store professional...make them come out and look at your engine under your hood, or call any junk yard as well. Sure hope this helps adn hope you can get a quicker answer next time. Take care.
