Exact fit and power of stock unit. Very simple installation with one electrical connector and three bolts. Seems a bit pricey considering it's rebuilt and there is nothing fancy about the technology. To be fair, the Advance price was competitive with the rest of the local parts chain stores. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Too early to comment on longevity but I've never had any issues with Advance backing parts warranties so I am comfortable that it will provide acceptable service.

Bought the alternator for 99 VW Bug 2.0 liter. The one thing I want to point out is that it wasn't a exact fit (at least for my car). The picture on the advance website isn't correct. It does come with the pulley, but the bushings on the mounts are wrong. I needed to add 3/16" worth of washers so the alternator wouldn't move around. It seems like whoever put the bushings on reversed it. I brought it back to the store to return to exchange for another but it was the same thing. After searching around at other auto parts stores I decided to stick with this one as it was a good price when using a coupon and it came with the pulley, which no other store did.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
