Throttle Body and Air-Intake Cleaner by CRC is specifically designed for use on the Throttle Body.
This cleaner should not be confused with carburetor cleaner. If you need to clean your throttle body than the purchase should pay for itself with the regain in engine performance and additional miles per gallon. This product effectively dissolves the accumulated harmful and performance robbing deposits. This is designed for the basic surface cleanup.
Some usage and clean up tips are to place an absorbent towel under the area being cleaned to capture the removed gunk, and cover any painted, plastic, or delicate surfaces from over spray. This product is not paint friendly.
Inhalation hazard so use in a well ventilated area.

Comments about CRC Throttle Body and Air Intake Cleaner:
I used this on the air intake of a 2004 alero 6cyl engine. When I took the air cleaner assembly off to expose the air intake I saw quite a bit of varnish on the bottom of the butterfly and air intake. I sprayed the CRC cleaner and it instantly melted away all the varnish and dirt. Now the entire assembly looks brand new.

Is CRC Throttle Body and Air Intake Cleaner (Part No. 05078) this product safe to use on a 2005 Ford Focus ZX3 SE? How do I use it and can you use it while car is running?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes, this CRC Throttle Body and Air Intake Cleaner - part# 05078 should work fine on your 2005 Ford Focus ZX3 SE. It is not recommended to be used when the vehicle is running. Spraying it only really does not help much at all. Physical scrubbing and rubbing with the solvent is what it takes. Just stuff an old sock or rag at the bottom of the intake manifold to absorb all the solvent and scum. Both sides of the throttle plate must be cleaned along with the throat of the throttle body.
