Do I need to do any extra maintenance after installing the alternator? I know it's attached to the timing belt. I don't know if I can just swap out the part. I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla 1.8L 1794CC

No, this part does not fit your 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. Well this all depends on the skill level of whoever is removing or replacing the part. Some may have a harder time than others who have experience.
