      A:

      Some symptoms that can show that an EGR valve is bad are:\n\nRough Idle\nIncreased Fuel Consumption\nOverheating\nPinging and Knocking\nIncreased Emissions; I would recommend taking it in to a reputable mechanics shop to have them take a look at it so that you can make sure you are replacing the correct part and also make sure that it is not another issue altogether.
