Does not fit 7.3L powerstroke diesel engines installed in E-Series (econoline) chassis. Filter too tall for this app.

Does NOT fit E-Series Diesels!!! This filter is too tall to fit in the shortened E-series housings on the 7.3L. The filter (and housing) are shortened on the E-Series chassis because the engine was stuffed in with a shoehorn, and there would be inadequate clearance to remove / replace it otherwise.

It comes with a new top and o ring.Some filters do not have these included. Follow the torque in the instruction to be sure of being leak free.
I installed it on my 7.3 power stroke.

Have used the Purolator 55055 Fuel Filter in my 1997 F-350 7.3L Diesel for over 10 years without any problems. I have put 746,000 miles on my first engine, and another 176,000 miles on second engine using this filter. Filter includes cover and seal.
