Comments about Dorman - Help Window Rollers - GM 2005-76:
Make sure to use locktite when installing the threaded one. You would have to take the whole guts out of the door to press one of the other two per pack on. The one with the hole in the middle is supposed to be banded on using a hammer and a punch... I tried gently trying to install one on my door and it was not happening. I had the treaded one get loose and fall off. So... the window fell out of it's track and I had to drill out a second roller to get it back into the track. So... off to advance this morning to buy a second package of these so I will have another threaded roller to use. I will use locktite and a backing nut this time to hopefully insure that these do not come loose. One hint I learned the hard way is that the glass may tilt on you or the window could make a clicking noise if one of these is getting loose. I thought that I would just find another roller going bad, but that was not the case. I have a 1997 Chevy Blazer. Seems like the upper left may be prone to go bad. It is pretty simple to drill out and replace one at a time. If it is so bad that the window comes out of the track go ahead and buy two packages of these...

Q:What is the roller with the thread and nut for?
A:A window regulator roller is an integral part of the window regulator. There are usually several rollers in a windowregulator assembly. The rollers allows the arms of the regulator to move smoothly back and forth, which helps it raise and lower the window. The smooth operation of a window regulator depends on the rollers.
