Says "direct fit" but read the fine print and heed it. I replaced cats that were breaking up so replacement was definitely needed. I thought this Magnaflow would be better than the Eastern (cheapest) because of the name. It isn't. I modified the left side pipe to make it fit where the front tcase shaft is. My CEL comes on and goes off now, the codes are P420 & P421. I hear now that OEM is the only thing that works on a Jeep Liberty.
