Comments about Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber:
I gave these shocks 4 stars since I have not been able to fully test them. I also do not know the longevity either. So far I have driven 15 miles on them and they have made a tremendous difference to the front end of my 97 Tahoe. I will be towing and driving on dirt rodes soon for motocross season and will have better idea of how they handle.I am in need of changing out the rear shocks and will definatly buy these for the rear.

Comments about Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber:
I wanted to put a nice replacement shock on my 99 suburban and thought these would be it. After less than a year they started making noise. A hollow rattle every time I go over a bump. How disappointing! Now I've got take them off, bring them in to the store and get replacements. I'm hoping that the store will let me exchange for a different brand becuase I'm not going to spend my time re-installing these Monroe mono-tubes. If I can get a decent price on the Bilsteins I think I'll try those.

Comments about Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber:
I was amazed at the way my truck handled after installing the front shocks...unbelievable. I had no idea it would handle so much better. I found out that the shocks I had put on earlier were not the correct type...the 98 Chevy K1500 / Z71 package requires specific shocks.
The Monroe shocks work perfect!!

These shocks look great and ride even better. These are great replacements for trucks equipped with the Z71 off road package.
