These bulbs are great. Not only do I use them for my taillights, I also use them in 12V landscape lighting on my residential property. They run between 8-12 hours a day and last about a year before replacement. Not bad at all for the price.

They light up an impressive amount of ground for a low voltage bulb. In automotive applications it works like any taillight bulb would, and is a fine replacement for OEM.

Also sylvania bulb 1157 is available at just about every gas station, auto parts store, hardware stores, etc. which make finding replacements a simple task.

Maybe someday LED's will produce an equivelant amount of light at a comparable cost, but that time isn't here yet. Until then, sylvania 1157's are the bulbs I use.

Good thing this bulb came in a 2-pack. The first one I installed burned out in a week. Taking car in for service tomorrow -- will have them replace with the 2nd bulb in the package and check to see if vehicle has a defect.
