      A:

The main difference between the H6 and HD6 compressors is that the latter has double acting swash-plate design in which the swash-plate is help between the opposing ends of the double piston by a pair of shoes and two steel balls. The H6 incorporates needle shaft bearings and zinc/bronze piston shoes that ride on a steel swash plate like the original equipment design. These design characteristics improve the life of the compressor and help to reduce compressor operating noise.
