Purchased at the store,Didn't see 'made in china' til I got home. After 10 mos.in the car the Ethanol ate the glue holding the inner filter in place. Then pieces of the glue came into the Carb's needle valve, shutting the car down by keeping the valve open and flooding out the car.Luckly,I tapped on the fuel bowl, got it fired up, snuck it home(9 mi.). Save yourself from what I went through and Make sure you always buy a filter you can see into.

This was not the filter for the car being worked on, though it came up as a replacement part for it. We will find another use for it, though, because it is not a bad part, just incompatible.

                      A:

The fuel filter on your 1998 Chrysler Concorde should be located under the car in the area of the back seat. Look on both sides, driver and passenger. The filter is tucked up into a recess so you can't see it from the side, you have to be under the car. Also it is inside a plastic stone shield. Follow the fuel lines. To remove the fuel lines, push in, and remove the clips. For any further assistance, please visit your nearest Advance Auto store or call us directly at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and one of our representatives there would be more than happy to assist you.

The fuel filter on your 1998 Saturn SL2 should be located on the underbody at the forward edge of the left-side of the fuel tank. Remove the (2) fuel filter bracket screws (10 mm hex). Unlatch the fuel line bundle retaining clip on the left-side of the fuel tank. Disconnect the EVAP purge line at the 90 degree quick connect. Slide the outlet of the filter out of the support on the fuel tank bracket and remove the fuel feed line at the 90 degree quick connect. Pivot the filter down while moving the leg of mounting bracket out from under the chassis brake lines. Disconnect the fuel feed and return lines at their quick connect fittings on the filter. The Chrysler fuel filter is on the underside of the 300M, in the middle of the seating area. Crawl under the vehicle, or use a car jack to raise the 300M to a higher distance from the ground if you need to. If you inspect the fuel tank, identifiable as a large square component, the fuel filter will be in the fuel pump module, appearing as a small black cylinder.
