Comments about Permatex Gas Tank and Radiator Repair:
wet or not you need to drain tank or make it so the gas isnt pouring out.... i had to jack up my truck at an angle to get the flow to stop... but you also need to clean the area very well and im talking more than just using brake clean. i used a airsander to clean around the spot but and sandpaper will work. in short th first 2 peopple either didnt follow or just assumed it would "just" work.
Comments about Permatex Gas Tank and Radiator Repair:
Read previous post but thought I would give it a try. Had small crack near bottom bung on tank. Cleaned with brake cleaner as described on label. Stuff seemed like it was going to work. It setup solid. I added gasoline and sure enough it still leaks. Now I have to try to remove the hardened epoxy from tank. Wished I would have just not even bothered with it.

Comments about Permatex Gas Tank and Radiator Repair:
Purchased to fix a small porous spot at bottom of gas tank with a very slow leak. Would not stick to the wet gas surface. Called Permatex and was told to purchase Permatex Instant Gas tank repair item number 12020 which will stick to wet gas surface. This product still would not stick. No luck.
