Comments about Bosch Fuel Pump Hanger Assembly:
Used this on a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. Fit like OEM. Don't forget the external fuel filter. The car stalled and the dealer said it was a faulty fuel pump, even though they were able to get it to run. The gasket is held securely in place. This is difficult to install because there is a 3 wire electrical connector that goes to the top of the fuel tank. Had to lower the fuel tank to remove and replace the connection (and broke the keeper). Then I was unable to replace one of the straps that hold the tank in place. It wasn't quite long enough to get the nut started. The tank was in it's position, that wasn't the problem. Ended up cutting the strap and making it adjustable length. Finally, I was unable to siphon the gas from the filler inlet. Fortunately my pump was still somewhat functional and was able to pump it out. Don't know what I would have done if the pump didn't work. In the end I saved a lot of money by doing this myself, but because of that one connection it is not an easy job.
