    can the orifice tube be removed? my 99 dakota has the tube in line.

      A:

      Yes it can. There should be two connections in the line that the tube is located in. There is a disconnect tool that is used to seperate the connections so that you can replace the tube. Be sure to have the A/C system evacuated before trying to make any repairs/replacements.
