Comments about Worldwide Alternator - 120 Amps:
So glad that this was available locally. Advance's online local store inventory told me exactly which store had it in stock. Had to drive a ways but picked it up Sunday AM and had my 2001 E320 back on the road in no time. I removed my bad alternator first and brought it to the store. Luckilly I did because the new alternator requires that you swap pulleys from the old one. They had an impact drill in the store which made that task easy. Would have been difficult to remove the old pulley without an impact. Have had it for 3 weeks now and so far perfect.

I was very glad that I was able to get this part for my 2001 E320 on locally on a Sunday and at a very reasonable price. It's great that Advance Auto inventory is accurately available on their website. The picture shows the alternator with a pulley installed but it did not come that way. Fortunately I brought my core with me to the store and the employee pulled out an impact drill and we were able to swap the pulley quickly. Without that tool it would have been a nightmare (I need to get one of those). The new alternator looked different then the one I pulled out but they warn you there are several different suppliers and that may be the case. It installed just fine and worked perfectly. So far I'm very happy. DIY on this job easily saved me $300

Essentially the same part the shop wanted to install at a parts cost of twice what I paid at Advance.
