Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions HVA/C Air Door Actuator:
The actuator motor was correct, but the shape of the actuator arm was not. Kind of a pain to find that out after you've got everything pulled apart. This product did not fit my 04 Expedition rear A/C actuator.

I only get hot air out of any position, even with the heater control knob turned down to the lowest setting. I replaced the fan, temp,& position controls, but still only get hot air. Maybe this unit was bad also, but I wanted to know if it may be the blend door actuator or a bad vacuum line. Help!1 answer

It could be that the heater core is clogged, heater valve is not working, or the blend doors are not functioning.Q:
Well, this is the second time that i have e-mailed. This part that i got the blend door actuator has been replced and the air still comes through the defroster, so what could this be. the cost of the parts was 84.50 and i didn't get the problem resolved, so what's next? you have any idea of what the problem could be?3 answers

A:
It may be the device that actually moves the blend door that is acting up.A:
its the metal actuator on the left side middle of the box an it is controlled from a vacuum lineA:
its a vaccum leak, just about every ford 97 - 03 had this problem. it should be right outside the firewall on the passenger side. just a little rubber piece of vaccum line will fix that problem for youQ:
Would this be the actuator that controls the flow of air? I mean this will allow the air to blow through the vents instead of the defroster only.2 answers
