When i bought my expedition i noticed after about a month it started running hot, after determining that it was a blown head gasket i purchased a bottle of bars and added it to my coolant, very simple, It has been a year and many miles up and down the highway and it still have not run hot, I highly recommend Bars *****

i am really worried about getting the antifreeze out before use of this product and then getting the product out before refilling with new antifreeze, it has warnings all over the bottle about clogging, how sensitive is this? what happens if not "EVERY" drop is flushed out?

              A:

With reference to your inquiry on Bars Leak Head Gasket Repair (20 oz.) - Part No. 1100, you must first drain and flush the entire cooling system, including the overflow tank and refill with water. All antifreeze must be removed from cooling system or clogging could occur. After using this product, flush entire cooling system with water before adding antifreeze. For best results, leave the cooling system open for 12 hours after draining the product from the cooling system. Dosage recommendation is as follows: 1 to 2.0 gallon cooling capacity uses ½ bottle, 2.0 gallon to 6 gallon cooling capacity uses 1 bottle, larger systems use 1 bottle for every 6 gallons of coolant capacity. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto store and one of our representatives will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

I have a toyota trecel 94 four speed, changed feul filter, thought it was water in gas, or fuel filter, now runs worse then before and sucking up antifreeze, over heating. and just filled day before yesterday when filter was changed oil looks great!! spark plugs have been changed. plus wires, and rotter cap. air filter too. could it be the head gasket, also changed timing belt goes great on flat, going up hill it bogs, like it's gonna die, if i put in 3rd gear, kicks butt.. It's been a great car, don't want to loose it!! wondering if i should use a gasket sealant or fix it seal for head gasket, what happenends if its not?

I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not solve or be the problem.

The basic principle is to drain the old fluid out, refill the car with regular water and perhaps some coolant flush liquid, let the car run for a bit (follow the instructions of the flush chemical), let it cool, drain, fill it up with water again, run, cool, drain, repeat until clear water comes out.
