The "Special and Updated" fitting on this slave cylinder is exactly the opposite of what it says. The fitting is a hassle and has no consideration for the transmission it is going in. The hole in the side of the bell housing is not made to accept the clip. So when you go to slip the line in the fitting the c clip can not spread wide enough to accept the line. So you got to remove the clip, insert the line then put the clip back on. All that is next to impossible to do.

not so innovative

Comments about Perfection Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Slave Cylinder:

just like some of the other users, it has only been a couple of thousand miles and this thing is already leaking, it is nice with the fitting and that it is made of metal instead of plastic, but that isnt going to help me take the tranny off again to swap out a faulty part, this also happened three times with a focus using advanced parts, i really dont want to have to this out three times to get a good one, very disapointed

Do Not Buy This Slave Cylinder

Comments about Perfection Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Slave Cylinder:

This slave cylinder started leaking and sticking about six months after I installed it. I wish I would have kept the original one, because the dealer has a repair kit for $25. The original one had a metal housing; this one has a plastic housing. There is so much labor involved with replacing this part that I would pay extra to get a good one from the dealer.

Comments about Perfection Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Slave Cylinder:

The Clutch slave kit came complete with the special tool needed to remove the line properly and effortlessly, simplifying the repair and replacement of the slave unit. If only you could market a way to remove the trans as easily, I would have bought that too. The instructions that came with the kit were simple and clear cut, and your sales people at the local store checked to see that I had all the "little items" like extra fluid and even asked if I needed any cleaning fluids to ensure a quality job. Thanks to all.

i have gone thru three of thease slave cyclinders as well as one from autozone an one from napa. the problem is they all are manufactuered by the same company. the packaging will say perfection or napa or duralast but they are made by skg if i remember right. an they are all junk. after going thru 5 slave cyclinders an 2 master cyclinders in a yr an a half i got all ford parts an have not had a problem since. my recommendation buy from ford

Part is inexpensive but fits perfectly. The release tool bends too easily but they give you new seals for your old line. I read reviews were they found leaks but I haven't had any. I can't see how you could bang it around too much installing your tranny but that's the chance you take with discount auto-parts. It is very hard to bleed. I read (after I already had it installed of course)to bench bleed it before you install. I goy it though but it would've been easier to start bleeding on the bench first.

Normally the clutch slave cylinder (Perfection Clutch TECHnovation Clutch Slave Cylinder - Part No. 360016) is located at your gearbox. Follow the hydraulic line down from your clutch master till you find it. Pull the rubber grommet back and see if it has any fluid behind it. Look around the cylinder for wet spots that indicate it is leaking. If there is fluid coming from the cylinder, it needs to be replaced. Watch the cylinder as an assistant depresses the clutch pedal. On the front of the cylinder is a hydraulic rod. When the clutch is depressed, the rod extends out, pushing a small fork that shifts the transmission. If the rod does not move when the clutch is depressed, the slave needs to be replaced. and given into consideration that this vehicles' transmission workings (ford ranger and mazda b 3000's) are very difficult to work on. Grease the input shaft and line up the teeth and with a little pressure it should go on.
