Comments about BWD Select Starter relay/Starter solenoid:
i ordered the BWD Select model because of the poor reviews of the Z line solenoids. Worked for about a dozen starts, then shorted and froze with the starter motor running despite removing the key. Had to jump out and quickly unhook the battery. Killed my battery, melted some wire insulation. Dont buy it.

Comments about BWD Select Starter relay/Starter solenoid:
Good quality just like the OEM. I thought I wasn't going to like the light grey color, but it actually made it easier to see when installing it in my van's cramped and clustered engine compartment. It performs well with my stock 60amp alternator/points distributor/575 cca battery/302 motor.

This BWD Select Starter relay/Starter solenoid(Part# S63) does not fit for 1957 Buick vehicles.Q:
if i wire the solenoid with a push button switch, which way do i wire it? The 'S' and the 'I' which one do i use?1 answer

A:
"S" terminal is the control circuit terminal and the "I" terminal is the ignition bypass terminal on the BWD Select Starter relay/Starter solenoid with part# S63. Disconnect the black negative cable from the battery. Mount the solenoid in place in the engine compartment using a wrench or ratchet and socket. Connect the red cable coming from the battery to the large bolt on the left-hand side of the solenoid. Connect the starter cable to the large bolt located on the right-hand side of the solenoid. Connect the control wire to the small control circuit terminal on the left-hand side of the solenoid. Connect the other small wire to the ignition bypass terminal, which is on the right-hand side of the solenoid. Reconnect the black negative battery cable.Q:
