Does this kit come with gears?
I believe my 3rd gear is stripped. It has fourth gear. but freely revs up when in 3rd without pulling. Heard a loud noise from tranny when I went over railroad tracks in third. quit pulling in 3rd and shifted into 4th. Drove home using 1, 2, 5th gears.Asked on 8/1/2012 by Doug from Griffin, Ga1 answer

1992 ranger 2.3l 5 speed manual transmission. as best i can tell, there are two kits which might apply, BK247WS and BR247AWS. the descriptions cause me to wonder if i will have to tear down to determine which based on synchro tooth count. i would also like to know exactly what parts are included.Asked on 3/28/2012 by Anonymous1 answer

Both Pro-King Manual Transmission Rebuild Kit with part# BK247WS and part# BK247AWS fits your 1992 Ford Ranger. Both kits include bearings, gaskets, seals and synchronizer rings. The only difference between these two parts are the part# BK247WS is for transmission models M5R1, M5R2 and the part# BK247AWS is for transmission model M5R1.Answered on 3/29/2012 by Vincent from AAP
