Q:
Can you just remove the old sensor and put the new one in or do you have to de-pressurize the system? I don't want to start messing with this and then have the thing shoot out refrigerant if I take out the old one. Need to replace this on a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT.
For removal of High Pressure Cut-Out Switch, discharge the refrigerant system and replace the defective Switch and then Evacuate and recharge the unit refrigerant system.

Q:
How do you remove this off the back on the compressor. I damaged the high side pressure switch housing and the wiring harness wont stay connected.
The factory air switch is usually the switch inside the car that turns the AC on or off, so if it is working then there is no need to replace it. Make sure when you change the compressor U flush the system as it could blow up once you loosen the hoses. If you have never done this please go to an AC shop as they will have the proper equipment to do the job correctly and safely.
