Comments about BWD Headlight Switch:
It was easy out and in for installation. the problem is there are no installation instructions included. I had to use my Chilton manual for it. once I read it, no problem. Took less than 5 minutes for removal of old and replacement of new.

Will this cause the parking lights to turn on but not turn them off?

The headlight switch could possibly be the problem. However, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer.
