Two good solid smacks with an appropriate sized hammer made quick work of separating my tie rod end.

Worked very well, did it's job flawlessly. However, the shaft is hard to hold with firm grip due to no grip tape or such, my only complaint.

This tool is not spaced wide enough to fit around the stud on my 86 F-150. I had to modify it with a grinder.
