Quality Stuff. Costs [$], did the rear skid-plate on my Grand Cherokee which was a standard silver with spots of rust here and there. FORGOT TO SHAKE CAN WELL BEFORE USE AND IT WAS GOBBY. AFTER I SHOOK IT WAS just like applying normal spray-paint. Looks quite thin but when it dries it thickens right up. I'm extremely impressed and will be sure to use it in a lot of other areas if I can.

    Touchup for your existing undercoating

This product is too thin to use as a real thick protective coating. It successfully hides repairs and gives old OEM undercoating a fresh dark black look.

This undercoating goes on real nice, dries fast, paintable. It's good for classic restorations, use for after replacing body parts, you can match OEM rustproofing in trunks, it paints up real nice and looks good.

This product works just like flex seal at a fraction of the cost!!!
I used flex seal and your paying for the advertising.
Its a flexible spray rubber coating.
Good for undercoat, sealing gutters and anything you want to seal it only comes in black but you can also paint over .it

Comments about Duplicolor Undercoat, Black, 16 oz. Aerosol:

I used this product on the center section of the underside of a fiberglass hood on a restored black sports car. That area, although painted the same as the rest of the car, looked rough and shabby due to the texture of the epoxy resin and fiberglass cloth.

The undercoat filled the pattern in the cloth very nicely and dried to an almost uniform texture, which is very pleasing to my eye. Since the car is black, I left the coating unpainted and it contrasts very nicely with the sides and front of the hood underside which are smooth and color-sanded black gloss.

I gave it 5 stars, although I've yet to put many miles on the car since applying the coating. Time will tell....

Drying time was a couple of days due to humidity and cool temperature, but so far it looks great! I was very careful when prepping and masking the car, and followed the directions as closely as possible. Couldn't do anything about the weather. :)

Comments about Duplicolor Undercoat, Black, 16 oz. Aerosol:

Used this to coat a homemade trailer. This product coats really well without running. I was impressed with the power of the spray can, almost feels like a pneumatic spray gun, but because of that don't stay in one place to long or it will be very thick. Recommended over 70 degrees, it was only 45 when I used it. It still worked well but 2 days to dry fully. very nice appearance if you pay attention while coating, just keep moving and overlap and feather it. All around good quality product as expected from duplicolor. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 due to the temp reccomendation.

make sure you shake the can often, dont use it if the product is cold, make sure you keep moving or it will get big globs in spots. 2 thin coats not 1 thick one for better looks.

I used this when i was deadening my impreza. I love it. It takes awhile to dry, but its worth it. You just have to shake well so it doesnt come out so thick. Other than that its need stuff that seems to hold up really well.

Dupli color says, Paints can be wet sanded and buffed to a smooth glossy finish. After all paints steps are complete let paint dry for 24-48 hours depending on products used. So I would recommend that you check for the result after 24-48 hours.
