This regulator is probably as good as the other two Dorman window regulators I have installed. It only gets 3 stars because of two problems. First, as one reviewer noted, and as a notice packed with the regulator stated, the polarity may be backwards depending on your application. On my 2005 F150 Supercab, I had to cut the connector and reverse the wires to get it to operate properly. The other problem was an unexpected surprise: the connector may be different than your OEM wire harness connector. This was my case, too, but I had to cut it anyway because of the incorrect polarity of the motor on the regulator. So, go into this project with wire cutters and wire spade lugs and you shouldn't have any problems. It's a shame that Ford won't admit to the premature failure of their OEM window regulators. It's not the motors, it's the cheap cables and pulleys they use. Dorman must me making a killing off this problem.

This item appeared much improved over the first replacement that I purchased from a different source. Everything installed easily and the part was correct. It is too early to judge how long it will last but I am hoping for the best!
I find that ordering online for store pick-up is a really convenient way to go and the fact that I can save some moola when doing this is a bonus. Also, do not hesitate to take advantage of the chat feature when working on your order if you have any questions regarding usage or application.

This was for the left side window. It did fit but, it operates backwards. On the switch, up is down and down is up.

This part Dorman - OE Solutions Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly, Part No. 741-430 manufactured by Dorman, the regulator should be including the adapter ( 4" harness) that reverses polarity to the motor (Not every application will require it.).
