I replaced a Bassani Cat that had failed on my Bronco. This was just installed so I have no input on reliability. Looks well made.

I think people are misunderstanding the issue with this cat. This isn't the heavy metal version of the cat, that one runs about 30 bucks more. Most cars including my camaro need the heavy metal cat. If you use a light metal you'll likely be replacing it every 6 months. The heavy metal version of these are dreams.

Guys, I was a bit leary about putting this CAT on my truck after reading some of the comments, but I must say so far I have been very pleased. I replaced the stock CAT and muffler on my 95 Chev PKP in December and made it a true dual exhaust, with two of these exact CAT's and put two Dynomax Super turbo mufflers on it as well. All from Advanced. Had them professionally installed. I immediately noticed more power and a quieter but "angry growl" sound when i mashed the accelerator. Time will tell if I experience some of the later problems I read about, but for an initial review and first impression- Hell of a Good product! Thanks Advanced.

Installing for 4 years, nothing but good performance if done right. Best if used with high flow muffler and intake system. Use as performance up-grade not as a repair for engine problems. Will make a good running car better. Will make problems on bad running cars.

[...] After 7 months OBD code diagnosed cat was bad again so I drove with in-dash "check engine" light on. I had to have another cat put on car in less than one year so I could pass state inspection so I replaced it again but with Walker brand this time. So unless you want to replace cat every 7 months or so buy Walker or Maremont brand. When I replaced it with Walker brand I realized better gas mileage and greater performance, especially noticeable going up hills.

The problem may be with the camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor and even with the temperature sensor in the head. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
