There are cheaper alternators out there, but they do not include a lifetime warranty like this one. Combined with an online coupon, the price is hard to beat for a quality alternator.

This alternator was worth the extra $20 purchase price over the cheaper version offered, due to it's lifetime warranty. The alternator was offered as an "EXACT" replacement, and for the most part, it was. However, I had to file/grind the casting at the mounting locations to get it to fit in the factory brackets, although not much. The most difficult part of the installation was the serpentine belt. The loaner belt tool did not fit my application and I had to go to Sears and puchase a couple of 15mm wrenches (a combination wrench & a ratchet combination) With the tension off the belt, replacement only took about 5-minutes to complete. So far, the new alternator is working just fine!

bolt threads were stripped out of the one mounting
ears, I have seen this before on reman alternators

This part Worldwide Alternator - 105 Amps, Part No. P8199-2 has limited lifetime replacement as warranty. This warranty is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase or any longer warranty period that may be printed on your original sales receipt. In addition, you must be the original purchaser of the part and still own the vehicle on which it was installed. This warranty cannot be transferred to anyone at any time. Replacement parts are warranted for 90 days from the date of exchange or the remainder of the warranty period, whichever is longer. Warranty periods may vary from part to part.
