The manifold fit was close but not exact due to poor quality control. The two flanges were offset 1/2" making installation very difficult and time consuming to get part to attach. The bending stress left in the Y joint could lead to early failure.
The OEM pipe included a welded bar that attached to a frame mounted OEM hanger. This bar is not included in this aftermarkert part.
This final connection end stops short of mating with the exhaust extenstion pipe. An OD sleeve with a clamp on each end is needed if a welder is not availble. The OD sleeve makes a loose fit with the mating OEM muffler extension pipe. JB weld can be used between the sleeve and exhaust pipe connection prior to tighting the last muffler clamp.
An OEM replacment CAT back solution will not correclty fit this modified creation.
The universal hanger, OD sleeve with extra clamps and JB weld around the joint looks very bad and subtracts value from a vehicle that otherwise has been very well preserved and maintained.
I am very sad that this part was installed on my truck.
