A:No, I do not believe that it does.
Q:Will this product easliy replace, with welding of course, the front drivers side catalytic converter in a 2004 Nissan Xterra, 3.3l V6 Supercharged?
A:Yes this should replace the front driver side catalytic converter.

A:To further assist you on this question could you please provide your vehicles year, make model, and engine size.
Q:is it legal to use without heat shield
A:I do not recommend using a catalytic converter without a heat shield. I have personally seen on several occassions, people who took off the heat shield and it eventually heated up the underside of the vehicle so much that the carpet inside actually started smoldering and caught fire.
