These shocks are very easy to install for the home mechanic. Make sure your vehicle is supported on jack stands and not the jack. Just remove the 2 bolts holding the old shock in. Sometimes they can be stubborn, but a little penetrating oil does the trick and just install the new one. You do have to activate the new shock and that means remove the retaining strap, thus allowing the shock to expand and then compress it down again. Yes that and maybe stubborn bolts is all you will have to contend with. I have a cheaters way of first install the top portion of the shock to the top mount and then cut the strap to allow the shock to expand. Then while your vehicle is supported on jack stands tack your jack and place it under the shock and compress it up into the lower mount. Finally once all bolts are tightened, lower the vehicle and bounce the end where the new shocks are to allow them to settle. Easy as that. I have always liked using Monroe shocks for their durability and performance.

Just put these shocks on last week. They were a great price and easy to install. Definitely will be looking to buy the same brand when we replace the front shocks in the near future.

cheap price, but fitment was wrong. length and lower eyelet mount were incompatible. maybe on the fwd, but not awd.

sprayed bolts with penetrating oil, took me about half an hour, took my time. easy to install, work great on my 2005 Chevy Uplander LS can't beat the price. Ride is alot nicer already
