Mr. Gasket's high performance electric fuel pump is a direct bolt-on replacement for Holley Fuel Pump. Our products are 100 percent pressure tested for guaranteed performance and reliability. Features an in-line style rotor and vane pump design and 3/8 inch NPT inlet and outlet. This lightweight pump includes mounting bracket and hardware and is universal for all carbureted engines.

I bought this to replace a generic electric fuel pump that was on my 61 Chevy van when I bought it in 1999... installed it in October of 2012, went out last week. This is the kicker... I replaced it with a 42S pump, and it lasted 10 minutes! No more Mr Gasket for me!

I was leary about all the negative responses until I bought one. It has been on my 79 camaro and used with a carburetor pushing exactly 7 psi (which is what you want) I have used with 750 cfm and 650 cfm double pumpers with no hesitation or fuel starvation. It has been on my car for almost a year and yes I drive my car everyday everywhere! so dont listen to these people saying the pump craps out I have ran it dry several times still no problem! Hook it up on a toggle switch for best amperage delivery. I dont know if these people got bad pumps but the first pump I bought was a total winner so dont knock it till you try it! Hook it up closer to the tank for maximum delivery the closer the better!

There isn't a single good thing that can be said about this pump. What's the point of a good price, if the darn thing breaks after about 5min of use? That's right, this guy lasted 5minutes!!! I got it to use with a 1958 Mercury. I installed it as directed, and noticed after a little bit, no fuel was coming out of the carb feed line. Turns out this thing can't push fuel over anything higher than like 1in. This thing is absolutely worthless. I would stay FAR away from it.

It's not worth the aggravation to swap them under warranty because you will be doing it again and again!

First one died out of waranty.. second one lasted 1 month, both left me on the side of the road. I went back to a mechanical... [*]!!!!! I would rate it at 0 stars if it would let me!

This part Mr. Gasket Electric Fuel Pumps-Universal, Part No. 12S is gravity feed pump designed for original equipment replacement on carbureted cars, trucks, industrial equipment and farm equipment, including lawn and garden. It also works for fuel transfer systems in gasoline applications as well as a booster pump for an existing mechanical fuel pump. Pump is self-priming, with a two bolt and two wire installation. Average 2 amp draw at maximum delivery. It seems it does not have the Pressure Switch which automatically shuts-off the pump when a certain pressure is reached.

if you are wanting to put an electric fuel pump on an engine that origionaly had a manual fuel pump it can work with a little help...since a carb doesnt have a fuel pressure regulator to slow gas flow from the pump like an injection system has you will most likly have to get a regulator to put inline between the carb and the pump..if you dont the pump will flood the carb out..i know this from experiance..hope this helpsAnswered on 7/9/2011 by Casper from Fayetteville, Ar.
