After opening the box i noticed that the primary pads thickness appeared less than the secondary shoe. After checking with the micro front primary thickness measured .17" and the secondary shoe measured .23" I've been installing wearever brake for years and this is the first time i noticed a considerable difference in pad thickness. I returned the shoe and checked several other boxes of wearever all a little short on material. I measured the Wagner Product and both shoes were .24". Is this just another product thats high in price but short on material. Overall the brakes won't last as long as the thicker pad. This will result in unhappy customers needing more frequent rear brake jobs. Do not Recommend pay the difference and get the Wagners.

Comments about Wearever Silver Brake Shoes - Rear:
These brake shoes are exactly like the factory shoes that they replaced. The hardest part is pounding the pivot point into the one shoe for the auto adjustment ratchet return spring. They only give you two so don't mess up!

According to website was 'exact fit' no other options given, however..... WRONG! mine had 11" drums! had to return along with everything else, and the worst part was I had used a coupon code online, when I returned the wrong parts I was credited the discounted price BUT was charged FULL price for the correct parts!!!!!! Have to go back and do some complaining!!!!
Bottom line is, I will CALL and get part numbers before I order online again!

Comments about Wearever Silver Brake Shoes - Rear:
The shoes are robust and solidly made. The fit was exact, except for the auto-adjust pin. The vehicle was a Dodge Dakota quad/4WD. I managed to press the pins into place, but the slot at the end of the pin was too large for the factory adjustment rocker assembly. The rocker could not fully seat on the pin, which caused the star wheel on the adjustment bar to be mis-aligned. I had to file out the slot until the rocker would seat properly. A simple fix would be supplying two different sizes of pins with the shoes.
Also, the e-brake lever requires a spring clip that should be replaced, not reused, and this 12 cent part should be included (but wasn't).
Other than that, the price was excellent and the fit was perfect.
