This is a generic replacement fuel pump that uses springs to anchor itself to the bottom of the tank insted of the origional mounting twist-lock. I'm not sure how long the springs will last, but otherwise it's a decent value.

This is the RIGHT pump for the job if you have a 2000 or 2001 Focus which had the fuel pump recall done. The Ford factory instructions are included to complete the conversion if it hasn't been done, as are all the clips, o-rings, filters, fuel lines and gaskets. Since the now decade-old plastic on the original pump is likely to be brittle at this point, don't mess with one of the cheap replacements as you likely find that you will need what comes with this unit anyway.

The fuel pump assembly the came out of the car has latches on the bottom of the bucket that locks the unit into place. The replacement we purchased from Advance Auto does not have these clips and will not stay in place.
