Comments about Wearever Brake Rotor - Front:
Advance lists this as a "Direct Fit" for my 1994 MB E320 sedan. This is either wrong information, or the rotors are so badly made that they'll never work.
MB rotors only go onto this car one way - there are pins that put them into the right position. Once positioned, there is also a hole for an allen bolt that holds the rotor to the hub. This hole was misaligned on both rotors. The bolt is not 100% critical, because the wheel will hold everything in place, but it does make it easier to work on the brakes. Without the bolt, the rotor moves around. Which is a hassle when changing pads.
Worse, though, is that the rotors rubbed something somewhere, I suspect the caliper body. They fit the car fine when the car is up in the air, or even driving in a straight line. But if you put the car into a corner, the rotors rub, presumably because of (perfectly normal) flex somewhere else in the suspension.
Advance's return policy is excellent. Even though I'd installed them on the car, I took them back to a retail store and explained the issue. No hassle at all, and my refund was processed that same day.
