I used this to upgrade the alternator in my 1990 aerostar. I had the old 2G alternator with the bad charge plug. I did have to run a new charge cable from the alt. to the battery. Make sure to fuse that with 125A fuse. The regulator plug is a direct fit, as is bolt pattern, and pulley.

I bought two products from Advanced Auto Parts.
1st a battery which when tested only came up to 70% of full charge,but I didn't know that at the time thinking that the altenator must be bad too because after I drove it to the store according to the charger it was low. So to make a long story short batteries should be checked at store to make sure they are a 100% so wrong conclusions cannot follow. Thank You, Richaed Smith

First the staff at the Dabney Drive location was spot on with the problem with my eletrical system. My truck has just over 125,000 miles but I cannot part with it. My battery light came on and I stoped in to have the system checked. The sales staff stated the problem with the alternator. I was in a hurry and they sujested if I wanted to purchase to do so on line and they would have it ready when I got of work. So in the office I looked on line and priced the alternator I thought would be best for my application. I also took the time to call a local Ford dealership and was given a price to install and replace the alternator of little over 500.00. That was not going to happen. I went online ordered the alternator and decided to go ahead and order a new belt also with the savings offered I could not go wrong. The parts went on perfect, the staff at the Henderson location were very helpful and gave me good advice on how to switch out the unit. I returned the next day to recover my core charge for the alternator and they ask how did everything go I said great and thank them again for being helpful and not trying to push me to purchase items I did not need. I am just waiting for my 50.00 gift card.

Purchased 1st one in 2003, replacing OE that was only 3 years old. Lasted just over 8 years and was replaced for free under lifetime warranty (with original receipt, of course)CANNOT beat that!!!!!!

Its working good so far only time will tell how long it last. It was only about 10 dollars more than the other one. Its a good price for something that has a life time warranty.
